In a major push toward digital governance, Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, has entered into a landmark agreement with the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) to digitize water bill management and collection across the region.
The signing ceremony brought together senior representatives, including Khalid Mirza, Secretary of Physical Planning & Housing, Government of AJK, and Noman Azhar, Chief Officer of Zindigi, along with other key officials from both institutions.
Under the agreement, Zindigi will implement a comprehensive digital framework enabling secure water bill payments, real-time transaction tracking, and enhanced reporting systems to strengthen transparency and operational efficiency. Citizens will be able to pay their bills through Zindigi Raast QR, the Zindigi app, and any banking application integrated with Raast, ensuring seamless and instant transactions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Khalid Mirza highlighted the government’s resolve to embrace innovative technologies to enhance governance and public service delivery, calling the initiative a milestone for transparency and citizen convenience.
Noman Azhar described the collaboration as a strategic step toward accelerating digital adoption in AJK. “This collaboration reflects Zindigi’s continued commitment to driving financial inclusion and digital empowerment. The initiative will not only simplify payment processes for residents but also contribute to building a more digitally connected and financially inclusive ecosystem in AJK,” he said.
