JazzWorld CEO Aamir Ibrahim urged countries and businesses to invest in AI, scalable digital infrastructure and applications that deliver measurable economic value.
JazzWorld CEO Aamir Ibrahim has called for immediate investment in artificial intelligence, scalable digital infrastructure and AI applications capable of generating tangible economic value.
Speaking on the sidelines of the GSMA Nova Future Summit in Napa Valley, California, Ibrahim outlined three priorities for countries and businesses seeking to benefit from AI: investing early, developing the infrastructure needed for large-scale adoption, and ensuring AI solutions address practical needs and create value that users are willing to pay for.
“Countries need to be intentional about their AI investments and invest now. For countries like Pakistan, we have to make sure that the digital divide does not become an intelligence divide,” Ibrahim said.
He also highlighted the importance of infrastructure, including data centres and partnerships required to support AI development. According to Ibrahim, AI adoption must focus on improving productivity and addressing real-world problems if investment is to remain sustainable.
Kazim Mujtaba, President Jazz GSM, JazzWorld, and Fatima Akhtar, VP Corporate Communications & ESG, also attended the summit, which brought together technology, telecommunications and business leaders to discuss developments shaping the digital economy.
Discussions at the event focused on AI, intelligent connectivity, digital infrastructure and emerging business models, including partnerships needed to expand new technologies at scale.
The growing adoption of AI is increasing demand for computing resources, data centre capacity and reliable connectivity. Telecom operators can support this development through network infrastructure, enterprise services and partnerships with technology providers.
JazzWorld’s participation also provided an opportunity to engage with international industry stakeholders on Pakistan’s digital and AI potential, including the infrastructure, investment and partnerships needed to support future growth.
