Jazz Business has deployed a resilient communications and command system for Punjab Emergency Services Department, Rescue 1122, aimed at supporting emergency operations in remote and flood-affected locations where regular networks may be disrupted.
The deployment combines Jazz’s connectivity infrastructure with Hytera’s professional communications technology. It includes dedicated communication nodes and rapidly deployable tactical network relays designed to extend coverage across difficult terrain, isolated communities and areas affected by flooding.
A centralized Command and Control Dispatch System forms the core of the solution and is integrated with digital Push-to-Talk radios. The system gives Rescue 1122 operators real-time visibility of field activities while allowing dispatchers at regional command centres to communicate directly with rescue teams.
The platform also enables operators to allocate and track emergency vehicles through interactive maps and monitor the availability of operational resources. This is intended to help maintain coordination between command centres and field personnel during complex emergency responses.
Shahzad Rasheed, President Enterprise Solutions, JazzWorld, said, “During natural disasters such as floods, conventional infrastructure can face severe disruptions, yet that is precisely when effective coordination matters most.”

The system has been designed for high availability in demanding environmental conditions and is intended to strengthen Rescue 1122’s capacity to manage large-scale disasters and emergency operations in areas without dependable conventional infrastructure.
