
Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan is elected P@SHA chairmanfor 2026–28, with technology policy, skills andIT investment among his priorities.
Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan has been unanimously elected chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association(P@SHA) for the 2026–2028 term following the association’s Central Executive Committee elections. His appointment comes as Pakistan’s technologyindustry continues to focus on digital transformation,skills development and international growth.
Dr. Khan, an academic and technology-sector leader, said he was honored by the confidenceplaced in him by P@SHA members. P@SHA “I am deeply honored by the trust placed in me by the entire P@SHA membership,” he said, outlining an agenda centred on technology policy, workforce development and attracting IT investment.
Among his immediate priorities are greaterengagement with the government on technologypolicies and accelerating the development ofindustry-ready skills. He also said P@SHA would work to strengthen Pakistan’s position as adestination for technology innovation and investment.
Dr. Khan said the association would also seek to create conditions that allow domestic startups toscale while helping established technology companies expand into international markets. The agenda placesindustry growth alongside policy engagement andthe development of Pakistan’s technology workforce.
His unanimous election followed the withdrawalof nominations by former P@SHA chairman Muhammad Zohaib Khan and Central Executive Committee member Dr. Faisal Kamiran in hisfavour. Their withdrawals cleared the way for Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan to take the association’s top position for the new term.
P@SHA also announced Wahab Yunus as senior vicechairman and Samad Saleem as vice chairman for 2026–2028. The newly elected Central Executive Committee comprises technology and IT industry representatives from multiple subsectors, bringing industry perspectives into the association’sleadership for the coming term.
