Jubilee Life and Oladoc are bringing Takaful protection into a digital healthcare journey, expanding consumer access to health, accident and income-focused coverage.
Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited has broadened its digital Takaful outreach through an arrangement between its Window Takaful Operations and online healthcare platform Oladoc. Under the initiative, Oladoc users can access several voluntary Term Takaful plans that are renewable on an annual basis, bringing financial protection options into the same digital space where consumers seek healthcare services.
The portfolio available through the platform covers a number of protection areas. It comprises the Jubilee Hospitalization Cash Reimbursement Takaful Plan, Jubilee Personal Accident Takaful Plan, Jubilee Income Protection Takaful Plan, Jubilee Health Takaful Plan and Cancer Cover Takaful Plan. Collectively, these plans address risks associated with hospitalization, accidents, loss of income and significant health conditions.
The latest arrangement is an extension of an earlier relationship between Jubilee Life and Oladoc. Jubilee Life’s 2024 annual report noted that the previous collaboration enabled employees, retail and corporate clients, and users of the Jubilee Active application to obtain healthcare-related services. The services included doctor consultations, diagnostic support and medical-record sharing.
Sohail Fakhar, Executive Director Sales and Marketing at Jubilee Life, said digital channels are becoming an important means of widening access to protection products. He said the company wants financial protection to be easier for consumers to reach by working with digital platforms that are already part of their routine. Jubilee Life’s corporate information confirms Fakhar’s position at the company.
“Our focus is on making protection simpler and easier to access, and digital partnerships are an important part of that effort.”
Syed Ali Raza Sherazi, Oladoc’s Head of Commercials, said the company’s broader objective is to develop a healthcare ecosystem that goes beyond access to medical services. According to publicly available professional information, Sherazi is associated with Oladoc and works in areas involving digital healthcare and strategic partnerships.
“Our aim has always been to build a more comprehensive healthcare ecosystem for our users.”
The new arrangement creates a digital link between healthcare access and financial protection, allowing users to encounter Takaful options while engaging with healthcare services. For Jubilee Life, the initiative also adds another digital distribution channel for its Shariah-compliant protection offerings, while Oladoc continues to operate as a technology-based healthcare platform.
The partnership reflects the companies’ continuing efforts to bring different aspects of healthcare and financial security together through digital services. By placing Takaful products alongside healthcare offerings, the initiative creates an additional digital route for consumers looking to learn about available protection solutions.
