JazzCash has been named a finalist in two categories at The Money Awards 2026, recognising its digital welfare disbursement work and Sehat+ health-insurance platform for Pakistan’s informal workforce.
JazzCash has been named a finalist in two categories at The Money Awards 2026, recognising its work in digitising government welfare payments and expanding access to health insurance for Pakistan’s informal workforce.
According to Markets Insider, JazzCash has been shortlisted in the Strategic Alliance & Partnership category for its role in digitising government welfare disbursements and in the Banking (InsurTech) category for bringing health insurance to underserved workers.

The Strategic Alliance & Partnership nomination recognises JazzCash’s role as a disbursement partner to the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The company said direct wallet transfers through JazzCash have delivered PKR 20 billion to 1.48 million BISP beneficiaries.
More broadly, JazzCash said its government and institutional partnerships have disbursed more than PKR 100 billion to over 3 million beneficiaries during 2026 across welfare, disaster relief and federal and provincial subsidy programmes.
These initiatives include Punjab’s Rahmat Card, Balochistan’s Rural Support Program and stipends for World Health Organization polio workers and the UN World Food Programme.
The second nomination recognises Sehat+, JazzCash’s health-protection platform. The company has partnered with licensed insurers to use its mobile app, wallet and nationwide agent network as a channel for mass-market insurance products, with coverage starting from PKR 3 per day.
JazzCash said Sehat+ currently serves 2.38 million active unique insurance customers and has issued 27.7 million policies to date. The company is also expanding its insurance offering through InsureNow, covering products such as travel, vehicle, home and mobile-device insurance.
JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali said the nominations reflect the company’s focus on expanding access to financial services and protection. “Everyone deserves access to financial services and protection,” he said. He added that the recognition demonstrates “what inclusion at scale looks like when government, insurers and a digital platform work together.”
The Money Awards recognition adds to JazzCash’s recent international recognition, including its inclusion in CNBC and Statista’s World’s Top Fintech Companies 2026 in the Payments category. The finalists will now proceed to the awards ceremony in Las Vegas, where winners in both categories will be announced on October 18.
