P@SHA received recognition during the opening ceremony of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, highlighting Pakistan’s growing presence in the global technology ecosystem and strengthening tech ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA) has been recognized during the opening ceremony of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking another notable moment for Pakistan’s technology sector on the international stage.
According to P@SHA, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, acknowledged P@SHA among the observers supporting the kickoff of the major technology event.
P@SHA said the recognition reflects its “growing presence on global technology platforms” and points to strengthening technology ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
LEAP 2026 is taking place from August 31 to September 3 in Riyadh, bringing together technology companies, investors, startups, policymakers and innovators from around the world. P@SHA had announced ahead of the event that it would lead a Pakistani technology delegation to the conference, providing companies with opportunities to connect with international stakeholders and explore new business and investment opportunities.
Saudi Press Agency reported that LEAP 2026 officially kicked off in Riyadh on August 31, with the event featuring major technology launches, investments and partnerships worth more than $15 billion. The event is centered on AI, advanced technologies and digital infrastructure, further emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s ambitions as a global technology hub.
P@SHA described the recognition as “A proud moment for Pakistan’s IT industry” and “another step towards greater international opportunities.”
The development also comes as Pakistani technology companies are increasingly using international platforms such as LEAP to showcase their capabilities, develop partnerships and access markets across the Gulf and wider MENA region.
With Pakistan’s IT industry seeking greater export growth and international collaboration, P@SHA’s visibility at LEAP 2026 provides an important platform for connecting the country’s technology ecosystem with global businesses, investors and policymakers.
