Pak EXIM has onboarded AutoSoft Dynamics to implement a modern, scalable and Shariah-compliant core banking system supporting its evolving operational and regulatory requirements.
Export-Import Bank of Pakistan (Pak EXIM) has onboarded AutoSoft Dynamics to implement a next-generation Core Banking System as part of a broader digital transformation initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s export-finance ecosystem.
The new system is designed to support Pak EXIM’s evolving operational, regulatory and business requirements while providing a scalable and Shariah-compliant technology foundation. The initiative comes as Pakistan continues efforts to modernise its financial sector and strengthen the infrastructure supporting trade and export development.
Under the agreement, AutoSoft Dynamics will provide the technology platform for Pak EXIM’s core banking operations. The system will be aligned with the bank’s mandate of supporting Pakistan’s trade, export development and broader economic growth.
The collaboration is also intended to strengthen Pak EXIM’s operational capabilities as it responds to changing requirements across the financial and export sectors. The bank said the implementation will contribute to operational resilience, service capabilities and governance while enabling it to better serve exporters and other stakeholders operating in an increasingly digital economy.
Shahbaz Hussain Syed, President and CEO of Pak EXIM, said the bank remained focused on developing the institutional capabilities required to support Pakistan’s export growth agenda. He described the implementation of a modern Shariah-compliant Core Banking System as an important component of that objective.
According to Syed, the technology investment is expected to enhance operational resilience, improve service delivery and strengthen governance as Pak EXIM responds to the changing requirements of exporters and other stakeholders.
AutoSoft Dynamics CEO Bilal Mahmood said the company’s selection by Pak EXIM represented a significant development for Pakistan’s banking technology sector. He highlighted AutoSoft’s nearly six decades of local and regional banking technology experience and the global best practices of its parent operating group, Andromeda, a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc.
The partnership also highlights the role of locally developed banking technology in supporting large-scale institutional transformation. Pak EXIM and AutoSoft said the collaboration demonstrates the capacity of Pakistan’s technology sector to provide enterprise banking systems for institutions with national economic mandates.
Pak EXIM plays a central role in supporting Pakistan’s trade and export ambitions, making the modernisation of its banking infrastructure relevant to the wider export-finance ecosystem. The new core banking platform is expected to provide the technological foundation for the bank’s future operational and business requirements.
The implementation adds to ongoing technology-driven modernisation across Pakistan’s financial sector, with financial institutions increasingly adopting scalable digital infrastructure to improve operational efficiency, strengthen governance and respond to evolving regulatory and customer requirements.
