Zong has won five Dragons of Asia Awards 2026, including two Gold awards for its 5G campaigns, alongside recognition for three other campaigns.
Zong has secured five awards at the Dragons of Asia Awards 2026, including two Gold, one Bronze and two Black Dragon Awards, recognising its marketing and creative campaigns across 5G, consumer products and network communications.
The telecom operator was the only telecommunications company to receive a Gold award for its 5G campaigns. The recognition covered Zong’s 5G Launch and “Aisa Hai Future” campaigns, which focused on communicating the applications and potential of next-generation connectivity to Pakistani audiences.
Zong launched its 5G journey with the objective of presenting the technology beyond faster internet speeds. Through the “Aisa Hai Future” campaign, the company has positioned 5G as an enabler of a more connected and digitally enabled future.
The campaigns used consumer-focused communication and storytelling to explain 5G and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. Zong said the approach was designed to make the technology and its potential applications more accessible to everyday users.
The company also received recognition for its Zong My5 2025 and Pro Max Hattrick campaigns, reflecting its wider marketing and communications strategy. These campaigns combined product communication, consumer insights and creative execution to present the company’s products and network capabilities to customers.
The awards come as Zong continues to expand its positioning from a connectivity provider toward a technology services enterprise. The company, backed by China Mobile, has linked its 5G strategy with AI, digital services and other technology capabilities.
Sajid Munir, Marketing Head at Zong, said the five awards reflected the creative work behind the company’s broader brand strategy and communication. He added that the company’s approach to 5G communication was focused on demonstrating how the technology could create value for users rather than focusing solely on technical capabilities.
Hina Ali, Deputy Director Marcom at Zong, said the company’s objective had been to simplify emerging technologies for its audiences. She noted that technologies such as 5G and AI could transform everyday experiences when consumers understood how they could benefit from them.
The Dragons of Asia recognition adds to Zong’s marketing and communications achievements as it continues its 5G rollout in Pakistan. The company said its ongoing strategy would focus on customer-facing connectivity, digital products and services, and AI-enabled solutions.
Through its “Aisa Hai Future” campaign, Zong continues to communicate its 5G offering alongside its wider technology portfolio, focusing on how next-generation connectivity and digital technologies can be applied across consumer, business and broader societal use cases.
