Pakistan’s Supreme Court and Türkiye’s Constitutional Court will sign an MoU in Islamabad to enhance judicial cooperation. The pact focuses on training, exchange, and technology integration.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan will host Türkiye’s Constitutional Court delegation on Monday for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on judicial cooperation. The agreement, announced by the apex court, aims to establish a structured framework for collaboration between the two institutions.
Led by President Kadir Özkaya, the Turkish delegation includes judges and senior officials visiting Pakistan from April 6 to April 9. The MoU will cover judicial exchange, training programs, and sharing best practices in adjudication.
Officials emphasized that the initiative reflects both countries’ commitment to constitutional governance, judicial independence, and the rule of law. A key focus will be professional development at the district level, pursued through joint training, academic exchanges, and exposure to comparative judicial practices.
The collaboration also seeks to integrate modern technologies into judicial processes, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and access to justice. The Supreme Court highlighted that the partnership will foster closer institutional ties and improve court performance.
This development underscores Pakistan and Türkiye’s shared vision of deepening institutional engagement in the judicial sphere, marking a significant step toward long-term cooperation between the superior courts of both nations.
