Pakistan-based technology firm Itanz Technologies Limited has secured an overseas contract valued at AU$1.75 million (about $1.23 million) with Icon Water Limited, the primary water utility serving the Australian Capital Territory.
The development was disclosed in a filing submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday. According to the company, the agreement relates to the deployment of an integration architecture system for the Australian utility.
“We are pleased to inform you that your company has entered a new contract with the largest water utility in the Australian Capital Territory, ‘Icon Water Limited’, to complete their integration architecture deployment,” the company stated in the notice.
The contract will run for five years and carries a total value of AU$1.75 million.
Icon Water provides drinking water and wastewater services across the Australian Capital Territory and is also a 50% shareholder in ActewAGL, a multi-utility provider delivering electricity and gas services in the region and parts of New South Wales.
Itanz Technologies was originally incorporated in Pakistan in 1990 as Zahur Cotton Mills Limited before transitioning into the technology sector. Following a merger with ITANZ Technology Private Limited approved by the Lahore High Court in March 2025, the company now focuses on software development, IT consulting and technology implementation services.
