VEON has announced a strategic partnership with the GSMA Innovation Fund to accelerate digital innovation in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The collaboration is focused on advancing digital inclusion and supporting tech-driven solutions that address local challenges.
The GSMA Innovation Fund backs startups and small businesses building sustainable digital technologies. With VEON’s regional presence and operational expertise, selected projects will gain stronger support to move from idea to scalable impact.
The initiative will prioritize sectors where technology can create meaningful change, including mobile connectivity, financial inclusion, education, and healthcare. The goal is to empower underserved communities by expanding access to digital tools and services.
By combining industry knowledge, funding, and on-ground experience, both organizations aim to create long-term, scalable digital ecosystems in Pakistan and Bangladesh, reinforcing the region’s growing role in the global digital economy.
