Under the partnership, Zong and Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PAK-Epa) organized the plantation of hundreds of saplings at key green sites in Islamabad, involving employees, local volunteers and environmental advocates. The drive supports PAK-EPA’s broader Green and Low-Carbon Initiatives, which emphasise urban forestry, biodiversity protection and sustainable city landscapes to reduce heat islands and improve air quality.
Zong officials said the campaign reflects the company’s commitment to corporate environmental responsibility and community wellbeing, encouraging youth participation and public-private collaboration for climate resilience. Islamabad’s local stakeholders also welcomed the drive as a visible contribution to ecological restoration and long-term sustainability in the capital’s rapidly developing urban spaces.
By blending corporate support with government environmental action, this initiative could help build greener, healthier urban ecosystems and strengthen climate awareness across communities.
