NayaPay has just unlocked a major upgrade for Pakistani travelers. The fintech, through the latest partnership with Alipay+, has introduced Global QR Payments for millions of its users, enabling them to scan and pay in more than 50 countries from cafes and shops to transportation services and entertainment spots.
This integration means that NayaPay customers can have a safe, and affordable payment experience nearly anywhere in the world. Alipay+ already connects more than 40 international mobile payment partners with 150 million-plus merchants, so the acceptance network is huge-especially for students, workers, and frequent travelers.
This launch builds upon NayaPay’s existing features such as Visa debit cards, local and international transfers, bill payments, and remittances. It also follows their big milestone in 2024 when they became the first Pakistani fintech to enable direct QR payments at 80 million merchants in China.
As per NayaPay CEO Danish A. Lakhani, the goal is to give Pakistanis the same confidence and convenience as those in advanced markets. Ant International’s Yan Pan said platforms like NayaPay are changing how people travel and make payments across the world.
The expanded partnership will offer Pakistani users a more intelligent and accessible means of paying for their purchases wherever they are.
