Pakistan deepened its technology ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through a strong presence at GITEX GLOBAL Largest Tech & Startup Show in the World 2025, highlighting its growing role in the international digital market.
The Pakistan Pavilion, inaugurated by Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Khawaja, served as a central space for business networking, start-up showcases, and investment discussions. More than 100 technology companies and 1,000 delegates represented Pakistan, including 26 firms supported by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and (TDAP) Trade Development Authority of Pakistan
Minister Khawaja said Pakistan’s participation reflects its confidence and capability in building a stronger digital future. The pavilion hosted live demonstrations, B2B sessions, and start-up showcases to attract global investors.
During the event, Minister Khawaja met Omar Ahmed Suwaina Alsuwaidi, Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Massimo Falcioni, Chief Competitiveness Officer at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, to discuss cooperation in AI, data governance, and cybersecurity.
The meetings underscored Pakistan’s efforts to expand partnerships with the UAE in technology, investment, and innovation.
