Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Pham Tan Cong and Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan convened in Hanoi during the 5th session of the Pakistan-Vietnam Joint Trade Committee. The meeting underscored a mutual dedication to deepening trade relations and revealed promising prospects in sectors such as textiles, information technology, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and chemicals

Jam Kamal highlighted Pakistan’s well-established strengths in agriculture, leather goods, surgical instruments, and pharmaceuticals, encouraging Vietnamese stakeholders to consider sourcing and investment opportunities in these domains. He proposed enhanced business-to-business engagement, including tours of Vietnamese industrial zones by Pakistani investors and the creation of stronger institutional frameworks between the two countries’ chambers and trade associations.

The minister also invited the VCCI to spearhead a trade delegation to Pakistan and welcomed increased participation from Pakistani businesses at Vietnamese trade exhibitions. Pham Tan Cong responded positively, affirming Vietnam’s strong interest in expanding economic cooperation with Pakistan. Both sides pledged ongoing coordination through Pakistan’s Commercial Section in Hanoi to drive forward their shared commercial objectives.
