Jazz brought its evolving digital story to life at LUMS through Jazz Immersive Day—a hands-on showcase that revealed what career opportunities now look like at the company following its transition into a ServiceCo model. The event, held on April 16, 2025, introduced students to Jazz’s ecosystem of platforms including JazzCash, Tamasha, GameNow, Garaj, ROX, SIMOSA, and FikrFree, and demonstrated how the company is moving beyond traditional telecom into fintech, entertainment, cloud, insurance, and cybersecurity.
This transition signals a broader shift in Jazz’s identity—from a connectivity provider to a digital-first enterprise focused on impact, inclusion, and innovation. The experience zone at LUMS allowed students to engage directly with product teams, learn about live services, and discover how their academic skills—from computer science and data analytics to finance and marketing—translate into real-world digital solutions.
Kazim Mujtaba, President of the Consumer Division at Jazz and a LUMS alumnus, delivered a keynote where he shared his personal journey from student life to corporate leadership. “Our transition to a ServiceCo is more than a structural shift—it’s a redefinition of purpose. At Jazz, we’re building digital experiences that go beyond connectivity. Immersive Day at LUMS reflects our belief that Pakistan’s youth must not only adapt to the digital future—they must shape it,” he said.
The event also highlighted the strategic importance of engaging young talent in Pakistan’s digital evolution. Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at Jazz, emphasized this in her remarks: “Engaging with bright young minds at institutions like LUMS is essential to our mission of building a future-ready workforce. As Jazz evolves into a digital-first organization, we are committed to nurturing talent that can shape and sustain Pakistan’s digital economy.”
Jazz Immersive Day is part of a broader push to build strong bridges between academia and industry, enabling students to envision roles that align with the rapidly transforming tech landscape. As Jazz continues to scale its platforms and push the boundaries of digital innovation in Pakistan, it aims to position itself not just as a top employer—but as a launchpad for the next generation of changemakers.
