Jazz has appointed Zaheer Mehdi as Group Head Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, effective June 16, 2025. In this role, he will also support governance across Mobilink Microfinance Bank and JazzCash, as the company strengthens oversight of its growing financial services portfolio.
Zaheer brings over 30 years of experience across banking, public policy, and regulatory affairs. He most recently served as Chief Government and Corporate Relations Officer at Engro Corporation, where he led strategic advocacy on regulatory and policy matters as part of the company’s Executive Committee. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank, including as CEO of Standard Chartered Modaraba and Managing Director, working closely with regulators and policymakers in Pakistan and abroad.
As part of this transition, Syed Fakhar Ahmed will move into the role of Advisor, Special Initiatives, continuing to support strategic priorities at Jazz.
This leadership change reflects Jazz’s ongoing evolution into Pakistan’s leading ServiceCo, delivering integrated digital solutions across fintech, cloud, analytics, entertainment, self-care, insurtech, and gaming.
