Treet Corporation is launching lithium-ion batteries in Pakistan to capitalize on the solar energy boom and diversify into sustainable energy solutions.
Treet Corporation Limited is preparing to enter Pakistan’s fast-growing lithium-ion battery market, signaling a strategic shift toward renewable energy solutions. During an analyst call attended by Topline Securities, the company confirmed its first shipment of imported lithium-ion batteries is expected soon, with revenue impact anticipated in the fourth quarter. Management noted that local assembly will depend on consumer response to the imported units.
Earlier this year, Treet announced its partnership with a major Chinese manufacturer to introduce lithium-ion batteries and inverters, offering five SKUs in tower and wall-mounted formats. CEO Syed Sheharyar Ali emphasized that the initiative aligns with Pakistan’s solar energy surge, where 33 gigawatts of photovoltaic capacity have already been installed, according to PRIED.
While lithium-ion batteries are expected to drive long-term growth, Treet acknowledged that traditional batteries will continue to meet seasonal demand, particularly during periods of low grid availability. Founded in 1977, Treet Corporation is best known for its shaving and grooming products but is now diversifying into energy storage, reflecting broader industry trends toward sustainability and modern energy solutions.
This move positions Treet as a key player in Pakistan’s renewable energy transition, combining innovation with market-driven expansion.
