Saudi Arabia has partnered with Bookme to enable instant Umrah visa issuance for Pakistani pilgrims through a fully digital and automated system.
Pakistani pilgrims can now obtain Umrah visas instantly thanks to a partnership between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Pakistan-based travel company Bookme.
A fully digital and automated system for issuing visas was made possible by the initiative, which was carried out in partnership with Elm Company, a Saudi provider of digital infrastructure.
Bookme’s website, mobile apps, and integrated partner platforms—such as banking and fintech apps all provide access to the service.
The platform claims that the system works in real time and is directly integrated with Saudi government infrastructure, doing away with the need for intermediaries, laborious documentation, or in-person visits.
The system, which was introduced in the last days of Ramadan 2026, enables users to apply for visas using an entirely digital, end-to-end procedure.
The project is anticipated to enhance access, openness, and efficiency in the visa process, as Pakistan is one of the world’s biggest source markets for Umrah pilgrims.
At the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum in Madinah, which brought together international participants from the pilgrimage and tourism ecosystem, the collaboration was formally established.
