Pakistan State Oil (PSO) is strengthening its fuel supply strategy to ensure Pakistan’s energy needs remain secure despite growing global uncertainties.
According to a recent statement, the company is actively building fuel reserves to protect the country’s economy from fluctuations in the international oil market. This move is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted fuel availability for industries, transportation, and everyday consumers.
Working under the strategic direction of the Ministry of Energy, PSO is using its global procurement network and efficient logistics system to maintain a steady fuel supply across the country. The company emphasized that its procurement process remains transparent, competitive, and aligned with regulatory standards.
Although extreme demand conditions previously led to limited participation in a fuel tender, the latest tender opening on March 10 received a strong response from international bidders. The bids are currently being evaluated according to regulatory requirements.
PSO also highlighted the role of its workforce in maintaining the country’s fuel supply chain. Teams working across ports, terminals, and distribution points continue to operate around the clock.
“Our priority is, and always will be, the people of Pakistan. We aren’t just delivering fuel; we are delivering the stability the country needs to thrive,” the statement said.
