Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA) has called on the government to provide tax-friendly measures in the next federal budget to spur growth in the IT industry. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, P@SHA Chairman Muhammad Zohaib Khan reiterated the call for lightening tax loads to increase exports and keep top tech talent in Pakistan.

Khan explained that the imposition of sales tax and erratic policies have slowed down the pace of the sector. They were accompanied by P@SHA’s Central Executive Committee Members such as Syed Ahmad from DPL, Badar Khushnood from Bramerz Digital, and Shabahat Ali Shah from Datarox. Together, they emphasized empowering the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and the need for continuity in government policies.

The speakers demanded the reinstatement of the tax exemption regime, tax refund settlement, and investment in digital infrastructure. With industry leaders such as 10Pearls Pakistan and Arbisoft being part of Pakistan’s digital landscape, the voice for a stable, growth-oriented fiscal environment is greater than ever. P@SHA asked the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and IT Minister to hear out the voice of the industry and support an envisioning digital economy.
