Pakistan and Poland are looking towards a stronger relationship, with commerce, investment, and fresh areas of cooperation at the center of their talks. During a recent meeting between Polish Ambassador Maciej Pisarski and Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, both sides reemphasized that they are eager to deepen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Pisarski appreciated Pakistan’s strides in macroeconomic stability and informed that Poland will be sending a high-ranking delegation to Islamabad soon. He noted that bilateral trade worth over $1 billion currently, heavily in Pakistan’s favor, has tremendous potential for increase. Poland has already invested over $100 million in Pakistan’s oil and gas exploration industry and signaled its willingness to reinvest earnings to increase its presence.
Discussions also touched on public finance technical cooperation and regulation. Minister Aurangzeb appreciated the interest of Poland and updated the Ambassador on relief activities in the flooded areas, highlighting the extent of damage and the long recovery process.
With both nations keen on developing existing economic and strategic relationships, this new momentum can lay the groundwork for a more balanced, robust, and future oriented relationship.
