Pakistan’s Cotton House and Uzbekistan’s textile agency sign an MoU to strengthen production, compliance and exports, integrating Uzbek firms into global supply chains.

Pakistan’s Cotton House has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of Textile, Leather, and Silk Industries to deepen cooperation in the textile sector and integrate Uzbek manufacturers into global supply chains.
Under the agreement, Cotton House will collaborate with the Uzbek agency to identify and develop qualified suppliers of fabrics, yearns and value-added textile products. The initiative will focus on upgrading production capabilities, strengthening compliance with international standards and increasing exports of higher-value products such as garments and home textiles.
The partnership also includes training, knowledge-sharing and capacity building programmes aimed at Uzbek manufacturers meet global quality, sustainability, and compliance requirements. By improving alignment with international buyer expectations, the collaboration seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s textile sector in key global markets.
The MoU was signed by Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director (Minister) of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry, and Fouzia Atif, Founder and CEO of Cotton House. Through Cotton House’s established network of international buyers across Europe, North America and the Middle East, the agreement aims to provide Uzbek textile producers with improved market access and stronger integration into global sourcing networks.
The initiative reflects growing regional cooperation in textiles and highlights Pakistan’s role as a facilitator of global sourcing, supply chain development and value-added manufacturing in the international textile industry.
