
Meezan Bank has been recognized as Pakistan’s leading Shariah-compliant bank at the 10th Pakistan Banking Awards 2025. The awards highlighted top performers across the financial sector, focusing on innovation, inclusion, and sustainable banking practices.
Meezan Bank Limited won the Best Bank category in the 10th Pakistan Banking Awards 2025, reaffirming the status as the top Shariah-compliant financial institution of Pakistan. This recognition points toward the bank’s pursuit of excellence, innovation, and strong governance in rendering its services to customers.

Other major players in the financial sector were also recognized at the ceremony. The Bank of Punjab was awarded for women inclusion, SME banking, and agriculture inclusion. Kashf Foundation earned the award of Best Microfinance Institution, while Bank Alfalah Limited received accolades for digital excellence and customer engagement. Faysal Bank Limited was declared Best Mid-Sized Bank. HBL took the award for best ESG performance, emphasizing sustainable banking practices.
Addressing a gathering in Karachi, the main guest of the event, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Jameel Ahmad, emphasized that the transformation of the sector largely depended on innovation, inclusion, and responsible banking. The governor urged financial institutions to pursue digital integration, climate-responsive financing, and access to credit for SMEs, startups, and exporters to ensure competitiveness.
Organized jointly by National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF)-Pakistan, Dawn Media Group, and A. F. Ferguson & Co. (a member firm of the PwC network), the awards have over ten years promoted integrity, excellence, and modern banking practices across Pakistan’s financial landscape.
