Mari Energies Limited has started gas and condensate production from the Shewa discovery in the Waziristan Block, KP Province. This follows the completion of a gas transmission pipeline by SNGPL, allowing the company to move forward with production.
Currently, the field is in its Extended Well Testing (EWT) phase, producing an average of 26 MMSCFD of gas and 244 barrels per day of condensate. As the gas processing plant stabilizes, production gradually increases to optimize efficiency and export capacity.
Mari Energies holds a 55 percent working interest in the Waziristan Block, with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Orient Petroleum Inc. holding 35 percent and 10 percent stakes, respectively.
This achievement is an important step in strengthening Pakistan’s energy security. By bringing new reserves into production, the company is not only enhancing the country’s energy supply but also contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
