JazzWorld has introduced a bereavement leave policy to support employees during personal loss and grief. The initiative provides paid leave, flexibility, and compassionate care, reinforcing its people-first culture.
JazzWorld has reinforced its commitment to employee well-being by introducing a new Bereavement Leave Policy designed to support colleagues through moments of loss and grief. This initiative reflects the company’s people-first workplace culture, ensuring employees are cared for not only in times of achievement but also during life’s most difficult transitions.
The policy grants permanent employees 10 working days of paid bereavement leave in the event of the loss of a spouse. In addition, female employees observing Iddat are offered extended flexibility, including the option to work from home for up to 120 calendar days. These provisions are provided over and above existing leave entitlements, with salaries and benefits continuing uninterrupted during the period.
Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at Jazz, highlighted the importance of empathy in organizational culture: “A truly people-centric organization is defined not only by how we celebrate achievements together, but also by how we stand beside one another during life’s most difficult moments.”
By offering structured support during times of grief, JazzWorld is setting a new standard for workplace compassion in Pakistan’s corporate sector. The initiative underscores the company’s broader vision of “Better Life for All,” extending beyond its services to the culture it builds for its people.
This policy is part of JazzWorld’s ongoing efforts to strengthen employee well-being and evolve people practices centered around empathy, inclusion, and care. It ensures that employees feel valued, supported, and respected, even in the most challenging circumstances.
