JazzCash has begun disbursing financial assistance under the Maryam Ko Batain Program in partnership with the Punjab Social Protection Authority, Government of Punjab.
The initiative is designed to support vulnerable households across the province, with eligible individuals receiving PKR 10,000 in financial assistance. Citizens can apply through a government helpline or mobile application, after which applications are verified by relevant authorities before funds are released.
Following verification, JazzCash enables secure digital transfers to beneficiaries within a 24-hour turnaround time, ensuring timely and transparent delivery of funds.
Since the launch of the programme, financial assistance has been disbursed to more than 35,000 beneficiaries, impacting over 300,000 individuals across Punjab.
The collaboration highlights the use of digital financial services in large-scale public disbursement programmes, supporting efficient delivery of welfare assistance through secure channels.
Arif Chaudary, Head of Public Sector Partnerships at JazzCash, said the initiative demonstrates how digital platforms can improve the speed, transparency, and accessibility of social protection mechanisms.
