At the 2025 Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit (LIIBS), Burak Özer, CFO of VEON Group, announced that Jazz, VEON’s Pakistani subsidiary, has invested over $10.9 billion to enhance the country’s digital ecosystem. This substantial investment aligns with VEON’s Digital Operator 1440 strategy, emphasizing the delivery of essential digital solutions in healthcare, financial services, education, and entertainment.
Jazz’s digital revenue now constitutes more than 25% of its total earnings, reflecting the success of its services-oriented approach. The company continues to expand its digital offerings, including platforms like JazzCash, Tamasha, Garaj, Simosa App, and the recently launched FikrFree—an AI-driven marketplace for affordable insurance and healthcare.
These initiatives underscore Jazz’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and fostering socio-economic growth in Pakistan. By leveraging an asset-light strategy, VEON and Jazz aim to address unmet customer needs and support sustainable business growth, positioning Pakistan as a significant player in the global digital landscape.
