ISLAMABAD – January 21, 2026: Jazz – Pakistan’s leading connectivity provider from JazzWorld – has further strengthened its partnership with the Universal Service Fund (USF) with the signing of contracts for four Next Generation-Broadband for Sustainable Development (NGBSD) projects, valued at PKR 1.16 billion, aimed at expanding high-speed broadband access in underserved areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The agreements were signed at the USF Head Office by Aamir Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer, Jazz, and Chaudhry Mudassar Naveed, Chief Executive Officer, USF, in the presence of the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Under these projects, Jazz will deliver high-speed broadband services across nine districts, including Chiniot and Abbottabad, as well as Attock, Sargodha, Khushab, Bahawalnagar, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, and Hafizabad. The rollout is expected to benefit approximately 533,000 people across more than 200 rural mauzas, with implementation planned over 6 to 18 months, in line with USF execution timelines.
Jazz has been a consistent partner of USF since 2007, supporting the Fund’s mandate to bridge Pakistan’s digital divide through large-scale deployments under the Broadband for Sustainable Development (BSD) and NGBSD frameworks. To date, Jazz has completed 26 USF-supported projects, deploying new and upgraded network infrastructure that has extended connectivity to over 10.6 million people in more than 5,000 previously unserved locations.
Commenting on the signing, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO, Jazz, said: “These projects reflect the strength of public-private collaboration in expanding digital access where it matters most. Through our partnership with USF, Jazz continues to focus on execution at scale—bringing reliable broadband to underserved communities and enabling access to education, livelihoods, and essential digital services.”
The latest projects build on Jazz’s broader efforts to enhance connectivity along key transport corridors and in remote and high-potential regions, supporting national priorities around digital inclusion, economic participation, and regional development.
Through continued collaboration with USF, Jazz remains committed to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda, ensuring that high-speed broadband connectivity serves as a foundation for inclusive growth and long-term socio-economic progress.
