Master Group of Industries’ subsidiary Indus Cloud has partnered with Huawei to build a new cloud data center in Pakistan. The project will use Huawei’s PowerPod 3.0, which can cut space by 40% and reduce energy use by 70%. It will also run on Huawei’s ultra-resilient data center network to give secure and stable cloud services.

The project supports Pakistan’s Digital Pakistan plan, which aims to expand modern technologies like AI, big data, and IoT. It also shows the strong tech link between China and Pakistan, adding to their history of economic and technical cooperation. This step will help local companies and users gain better access to digital tools and services.

Today, Pakistan has about 25 data centers, mostly in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. These are operated by local providers such as PTCL.Official, Multinet Pakistan (Private) Limited, Supernet Limited, CYBERNET, and others. The new data center by Indus Cloud and Huawei will add capacity and bring advanced services to the market.

Other projects include a data center MoU between Huawei and National Bank of Pakistan, a hyperscale center planned by Khazana Cloud and NASTP, a solar-powered center at the University of Turbat (UOT), and Mari Petroleum’s new cloud/AI unit. Together, they show Pakistan’s digital industry is growing fast.
