Speaking at a ceremony held at the Expo Centre in Lahore, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Khawaja said the federal government has adopted digital systems across its operations. She noted that Pakistan’s national economy is undergoing a technological transformation, with a large youth population playing a central role.
The minister highlighted the launch of the Asaan Khidmat Service Centre, saying it was introduced to make public services more accessible and convenient for citizens. She said digital public services help reduce red tape and corruption while improving efficiency.
She said the government is developing public private partnerships to strengthen service delivery and improve outcomes for ordinary people. “We constantly ask ourselves what role we can play in improving the lives of ordinary people,” she said.
Referring to recent regional tensions, the minister said Pakistan demonstrated its strength and established the credibility of its cyber security capabilities at the global level. She added that the country can now engage internationally with greater confidence.
