
A delegation of women members of the Balochistan Assembly has undertaken an official visit to Türkiye to strengthen parliamentary, diplomatic and people to people relations between the two countries.

A high level delegation of women members of the Balochistan Assembly visited Türkiye as part of efforts to deepen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Türkiye. The delegation was led by Farah Azeem Shah, member of the Balochistan Assembly and President of the Balochistan Awami Party Women Wing, according to a press release.
Other members of the delegation included Salma Kakar of the Awami National Party, Hadiya Nawaz of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, and Kulsoom of the National Party. During the visit, the delegation held meetings with senior Turkish political leadership and parliamentary representatives to discuss areas of mutual interest.
Discussions focused on bilateral cooperation, youth development, education, investment and promoting positive narratives. The delegation met with leaders of Türkiye’s ruling Justice and Development Party and also held talks with Senator Dr Mustafa Kaya, Vice President of the Saadet Party and a member of the NATO Group of Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (Turkish Parliament/TBMM)
During the meetings, Farah Azeem Shah highlighted Balochistan’s strategic importance, natural resources and development potential. She invited Türkiye to explore investment opportunities in mines and minerals, infrastructure, youth skills development and education, and requested scholarships for Pakistani students, particularly from Balochistan.
Both sides agreed to establish a joint think tank and working group to support policy cooperation, investment exploration, youth exchanges and countering misinformation. They also agreed to maintain regular contact and hold future high level engagements to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
