Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah has announced a significant move toward the full digitization of the province’s education sector. Speaking to ARY NEWS, the minister revealed the rollout of a new mobile app designed to enhance transparency and supervision in public schools. The app will require school teachers to mark their attendance via smartphone—only when physically present within school premises. Teachers will also upload class photos, while integrated facial recognition technology will automatically track student attendance.
In a parallel step, the verification of matric and intermediate certificates in Sindh is shifting to a fully online platform. As per a recent IBCC circular, sealed envelope submissions will no longer be accepted. All verifications must now be processed through the digital portal. The IBCC has directed all educational boards in Sindh to link with this system to ensure streamlined and secure authentication procedures.
